Pulling out of Asia

Foreign and Colonial Emerging Markets (London, England) is reducing its Asian investments. Of Foreign and Colonial Emerging Markets's $5 billion emerging markets portfolio, only $2 billion are in Asian assets. Foreign and Colonial Emerging Markets regional director Charles Brock explains the action by noting that Asian markets have been destroying value as their cost of capital has been exceeding their return on capital for years.
