Airlines slow to pay $21 million owed to DOD

Several major airlines owing to Department of Defense (DOD) for $21 million worth of unused airline tickets are not repaying the money back. DOD plans to solve its travel cost problem with its Defense Travel System, which DOD representative described as a Web-based system for booking travel arrangements that creates an electronic tracking mechanism for transactions.

Al Qaeda 'version 2.0' no less a challenge-think tanker

Robert Leiken, the director of immigration and national security programs at The Nixon Center, a Washington think tank, believes that al Qaeda's post-9/11 changeover could be described as a shift from version 1.0 to 2.0. Al Qaeda 2.0 is the decentralized collection of groups working loosely under the banner of Al Qaeda that has put a lot of energy into Europe.
