S&P 500 Index additions and earnings expectations
Article Abstract:
AnalystsE earnings per share forecasts are analyzed to determine the relevance of Standard and Poor's 500 Index inclusion regarding a firmEs future prospects. Comparisons of preinclusion forecasts and postinclusion realized earnings show however that inclusion of the S&P Index is informative.
