Schoomaker says 2004 restructuring accelerates FCS

The United States Army Chief of Staff Gen. Peter Schoomaker has said that his decision to restructure the Future Combat Systems (FCS) program has accelerated the modernization and deployment of the first full FCS brigade and has not delayed the program as was expected. He also said that women play an important role in a war and should be taught the best techniques for survival.
