Article Abstract:
Certain supply chain concepts are applicable to organizational expense management. Work teams that can perform well in MIT's Beer Game are also likely to perform well in organizational expense management because the game, which is a simulation of a simple supply chain, exhibits similar system structure to business spending. Financial pipeline inventory is crucial for an effective organizational expense management. A successful introduction of change in a financial management system requires a two-step attempt: a manual system and a semi-automated system.

Cooperative advantage - a new measure of performance
Article Abstract:
Cooperation is crucial to organizational success. The main element of cooperative advantage is not only the cooperation among individuals and groups but among organizations as well. Competitive advantage helps in the achievement of commercial advantage by improving competitive capabilities, whereas, cooperative advantage helps in the transfer of distribution capabilities from one competitor to another in a joint venture by sharing advanced technology. Production of value-added products through cooperative product decision is a key cooperative capability.
