TI links data to sharpen its customer focus
Article Abstract:
Texas Instruments Inc has vastly increased its ability to get an excellent overall picture of its customers, better manage customer relationships and capitalize the use of existing resources by implementing a sales and marketing customer support module developed by Vantive Corp. The system is now used by about 300 Texas Instrument employees and has enabled the firm to handle hundreds of calls per day versus 10 a day in the past.

W.W. Grainger's magic toolbox; showing its many splendid things
Article Abstract:
WW Grainger utilized a toolbox in its industrial advertisement which won for the company a Sawyer Award. The print advertisement shows machine tools arranged on the page, bearing the haedline, 'Now available in paperback.' The advertisement, which is described as visually magnetic, was produced by Chicago, IL-based Della Femina McNamee. The advertising agency also created the advertisement that won for Eaton Corp a Sawyer Award.
