The mechanics of getting technology aid
Article Abstract:
Technology grants can be successfully obtained from the EC so long as a number of guidelines are followed. The first step in trying to obtain funding is to become aware of the research programs being funded by the EC, and the kind of projects under these programs the EC supports. One way to gain information is to be included in the mailing list of the Official Journal of the European Communities wherein calls for research proposals appear. These calls specify the program involved, preferred themes and selection criteria. In addition, the EC annually publishesa summary of funded projects which can serve as the basis for determining the projects supported by the EC. A proposal must be carefully written to prevent reviewers from finding any reason to reject it. Proposals must also be strictlyfor projects the EC wishes to support.
