Time to end the controversy over the Stryker
Article Abstract:
The interminable controversy over the characteristics and performance of the Stryker medium armor vehicle needs to be ended, as it is meeting the U.S. Army's requirements and its mobility has proven as an enormous asset in the complex and tactical environment in Iraq. Current concerns about the Stryker fall into two main areas, the vehicle's transportability and its operational effectiveness.

Military experimenting with 'spray on' armor for Humvees
Article Abstract:
The office of Naval Research is experimenting with a spray-on coating that may make vehicles more impervious to roadside bomb attacks and minestrikes. At the Navy-sponsored R&D conference, Rear Adm. Jay Cohen showed a video clip of a Humvee being demolished by a land mine except the passenger compartment left intact.
