Truth detector offered to defense, security buyers

The technology of layered voice analysis (LVA) was presented at FOSE, an annual exposition of technologies oriented toward government customers, and the distribution company called V described the benefits of the frequency-based voice technology for truth detection that relies on mathematical analysis of vocal frequency without relying on biofeedback data such as pulse and perspiration. The company also offers an advanced product called Gatekeeper that additionally contains an artificial intelligence component that learns an environment before determining the truth through rapid, brief verbal exchanges.

Lockheed Martin: New aircraft pod can spot IEDs

A new advanced targeting pod produced by Lockheed Martin Corp. to spot improvised explosive devices (IEDs) could prove to be very beneficial for the US forces in Iraq, for whom IEDs are among their issues of concern. Sniper, the new targeting pod would provide vastly improved long-range target detection and identification and continuous stabilized surveillance in support of ground forces.
