Upper quadrant postural changes of school children in response to interaction with different information technologies
Article Abstract:
The sitting posture of school children interacting with both old (book) and new information technologies (computer and laptops) were quantitatively analyzed to test the hypothesis that posture is affected by the type of information technology (IT) used. It was seen that computer workstation design had the highest risk factor for the development of musculoskeletal disorders in children's interaction with computers.
