Lawmakers complain about tight 2006 naval budget
Article Abstract:
US President George W. Bush's proposed budget for fiscal year 2006 would hold the Navy in a tight budget as lawmakers criticized as not being able to prepare the sea to meet future threats. The hold would shrink budgets for the Navy and Air Force, while the Army's spending would rise to support Army operations in Iraq.
