Web marketers wrestle with content control: companies starting to implement site posting strategies
Article Abstract:
Problems related to Web site content management are being addressed by corporate marketers as they try to compete for increased readership. Many of them are employing strategies which aim to reduce the high cost of content management. One example is that of GTE Corp, a telecommunications company, wherein site managers cut and paste content into computer graphic interface form instead of giving it to a Webmaster for conversion to hypertext markup language. These processes, the company claimed, reduced turnaround time and cost, making the site more current and profitable.
