Observation of bimolecular carrier recombination dynamics in close-packed films of colloidal CdSe nanocrystals

Article Abstract:

A study of the intensity dependence of the photoconductivity in close-packed films of CdSe quantum dots in which the photoconductivity is characterized by a low density of trapped charges is presented. It was observed that the intensity dependence of the photocurrent is nonlinear, which is indicative of bimolecular charge carrier recombination dynamics.

ZnO nanobelt arrays grown directly from and on zinc substrates: Synthesis, characterization, and application

Article Abstract:

Well-aligned ZnO nanobelt arrays are directly grown on zinc substrates (foils and microparticles) by thermal oxidation in the atmosphere of oxygen. The photoluminescence, stimulated emission, and ammonia sensing properties of the as-synthesized ZnO nanobelt arrays are studied.

Poly(N-vinylcarbazole) (PVK) photoconductivity enhancement induced by doping with CdS nanocrystals through chemical hybridization

Article Abstract:

Synthesis of CdS nanocystals of a few 3-20 nm was done in sulfonated poly (N-vinylcarbazole)(PVK) matrixes with the CdS molar fraction of ~1-18%. Photoluminescence results indicate that interfacial electron transfer occurs between the CdS nanoparticles and the PVK molecules.
