Probing heme coordination states of inducible nitric oxide synthase with a Re (I) (imidazole-alkyl-nitroarginine) sensitizer-wire
Article Abstract:
The study is done to determine the heme coordination states of inducible nitric oxide synthase with a Re (I) sensitizer coupled to nitro-L-arginine by an imidazole-alkyl molecular wire. It is demonstrated that Re (I) when applied can initiate quick photoreduction of the ferriheme in the active site of the enzyme.

Fabrication of size-tunable large-area periodic silicon nanopillar arrays with sub-10-nm resolution
Article Abstract:
A fabrication procedure that can produce large, size-tunable, periodic silicon nanopillar arrays is presented. It is shown that an oxidation and etching process can systematically control the size of the silicon nanopillar.
