The role of ions in the plasma polymerization of allylamine
Article Abstract:
The radio-frequency-induced plasma polymerization of allylamine is investigate in the plasma-gas phase by mass spectrometry and at the plasma-solid interface by means of an ion flux probe and a quartz mass balance. The oligomerization reactions were found to be relatively power-insensitive compared with those seen in plasmas of acrylic acid, as was the gas-phase concentration of the intact neutral monometer.

Partitioning and polymerization of pyrrole into perfluorosulfonate (Nafion) membranes under neutral conditions
Article Abstract:
The effect of the Nafion counterion on the properties of the polypyrrole/Nafion composites formed by subsequent polymerization of pyrrole with Fe (III) is investigated. The use of neutral Nafion for the preparation of polypyrrole-modified membranes for direct methanol fuel cells has been shown to have significant advantages over the use of H-Nafion.
