A+ Certification undergoes major revisions
Article Abstract:
The A+ Certification program for help desk professionals is having its first major revision, with the inclusion of questions on new technologies, especially Windows 95. Question designed to gauge the customer service skills of help desk professionals have also been included. The revised A+ Certification exam will have its beta testing by Spr 1998 and the final version would be available by 3rd qtr 1998. Computer Technology Industry Assn, the organization that administers the A+ Certification exam, also has plans for an authorized-vendor training program for A+.

Information technology self-service and support chain automation solution provider Courion Corp has received $4.1 million in a first-round financing. Venture capital firm JMI Equity Fund III LP of Baltimore, MD, headed the round of financing. The company's seed investors Massachusetts Technology Development Corp and US Trust Capital also participated in the financing.
