Sun Microsystems Inc of Palo Alto, CA, has launched a new marketing program for its new network computer, Sun Ray. The book-sized electronic processing device has been designed to eliminate complexities associated with modern computers such desktop operating systems, hard drives and modems. Sun Ray 1, which runs via a satellite master server accessed in real time through the Internet, is positioned as an information appliance for schools.

Agencies unveil seamless branded networks

New York, NY-based Euro RSCG Worldwide has unveiled a branded global marketing services network that will consolidate and more efficiently apply the direct and interactive capabilities of its subsidiary agencies toward client needs. The network, which will be an integral part of Euro's global operations, will be called The Sales Machine and will be based in New York, NY. It will consist of 76 agencies located in 40 countries and be headed by Daniel Morel. The Sales Machine's operations will include direct marketing, sales promotion, event marketing, sales force motivation and database marketing.
