Fingerhut has purchased a Quadstone System for use in its database marketing efforts. The Quadstone System from Quadstone of Boston, MA, would be used by Fingerhut in analyzing its online and direct marketing campaigns and determining customer behavior, including response to promotions, dollar amount of orders, pre-shipment cancellation of orders, lifetime value of customers and saturation of products. Fingerhut said The Quadstone System quickly and accurately analyzed massive amounts of marketing data.

Mega goes for CPS Direct

French software developer Mega International has awarded its $500,000 direct marketing account to CPS Direct Marketing Inc. CPS will work closely with Mega in building the latter's client base in the US, mainly through direct mail, e-mail, online newsletter sponsorships and Web landing pages. Mega develops software that allows big corporations to integrate complex inhouse systems and electronic commerce applications. Its existing clients include Lockheed Martin, Lucent Technologies and Southwestern Bell.
