Deal to help ELetter put stamp on print industry

San Jose, CA-based online direct marketer ELetter Inc has signed a partnership agreement with San Mateo, CA-based E-Stamp Corp. The partnership will give ELetter a postage-based link by using E-Stamp's software that allows electronic businesses such as ELetter to offer online postage. The deal, which aslo entails joint marketing initiatives, will enable each companies to directly link their Web sites with the partner's site.

Ecards.com, E-cards reach name deal
Article Abstract:
E-Cards and Ecards.com Inc have agreed to end their yearlong dispute over the similarities in their corporate names. Under the agreement, San Francisco, CA-based E-Cards will retain its name and Web site, www.ecards.com, while Toronto, Canada-based Ecards.com is scheduled to announce its new corporate name and Internet address on Oct 16, 2000. In May, E-Cards was awarded by a federal court a $4 million settlement against Ecards.com for unfair competition practices. Ecards.com contested the ruling before agreeing to a settlement with E-Cards.
