Buy.com clips sports channels
Article Abstract:
Aliso Viejo, CA-based Web retailer Buy.com has slashed its golf and sports channels. The moves were aimed at reducing the firm's expenses by about $29 million annually. When combined with the company's other cash-minded moves, Buy.com expects to generate savings of $70 million annually. The restructuring move will cost the Web retailer more than $32 million. It follows the resignations of Gregory Hawkins, the company's chairman, and Mitch Hill, CFO.
