Two multichannel marketers of womenEs apparel - Sandpoint-based Coldwater Creek and Quincy-based J. Jill Group - experienced a zoom in the sales of their retail segments, which increased by an impressive 52% and 35 % over the previous yearEs figures. However the sales in their direct segment declined significantly by 9% and 2% respectively. Coldwater Creek is planning to open about 500 new stores over the next few years, while J. Jill will be opening 40 stores this year.
