The retail chain, with 38 stores nationwide, reported a net income of $1.65 million and net sales of $51.31 million for the 4th qtr. These figures bring the company's total net income for FY 1999 to $6.3 million and total net sales to $182.3 million.

Travis moves La. store, buys land for Ga. outlet

Travis Boats & Motors Inc. of Austin, TX, has acquired five acres in the Atlanta suburb of Buford, GA. The company plans to develop a 20,000-sq-ft superstore in the property after it obtains permit. The store will replace the company's store in Roswell, GA, when it opens in March 1999. Meanwhile, the company has relocated its suburban store from Metairie, LA, to a new superstore in St. Rose, LA. The company has also completed renovations at its stores in Florence, AL, and Winchester, TN, turning them into superstores.

Travis Boats opens store in Tennessee

Travis Boats & Motors Inc., a multistate superstore retailer of recreational boats, motors, trailers and related marine accessories, has opened a new store in Knoxville, TN, in September 1998. The new site, which is the company's third in the Volunteer state, will target boating enthusiasts in and around several northeastern Tennessee markets including Chattanooga. Company Chairman Mark Walton states the new store will eventually be relocated to a new superstore facility. In other developments, Travis Boats has purchased selected assets of Rodgers Marine Sales, a division of Rodgers Cadillac Inc.
