Woman wins spam lawsuit against Kozmo
Article Abstract:
The Small Claims Division of the Superior Court of California in San Francisco has ordered Kozmo.com to pay $77.50 to a woman who sued the online retailer for spamming. The court found Kozmo guilty of violating California's spam statutes, and ordered the company to pay Ellen Spertus $50 in damages and $27.50 in court costs. New York-based Kozmo offered delivery of goods from home videos to ice cream to local users within an hour but has shut down its operations.
