Identity crisis: how to avoid becoming a victim of identity fraud, and what to do if the worst happens

Identity fraud is one of the fastest-growing crimes in the UK where a stolen identity can be used to set up bank accounts for money laundering or benefit fraud and can even be used for people trafficking. Some of the ways in which such identity theft can be avoided are discussed and suggestions are provided in cases where the ID is stolen.
