Carbonates: non-diet
Article Abstract:
The UK non-diet carbonate market was valued at 2,549 million in 1997 and is expected to rise to 2,894 million by 2002. The diet carbonate market was valued at 1,862 million pounds sterling in 1997 and is expected to rise to 2,582 million pounds sterling by 2002. Consumers are concerned about healthier drink choices but are reluctant to chance to diet versions until it tastes the same as the non-diet version. Women tend to choose healthier option drinks, while teenagers will be more influenced by advertising and brand image.
