Public-good provision and political stability in Europe
Article Abstract:
A 1990 study of the interaction between regional economic development and regional political unification presents questions about political unification in Europe. A political-economic model of the European Community shows that Europe is prepared for unification, but that instability may occur in the future. The model illustrates that unification is feasible across many parameter values and tax-sharing regulations, but that secession could also occur, especially in the case of poorer nations.

Toward an economic theory of leadership: leading by example
Article Abstract:
Research was conducted to examine leadership within organizations. Leadership is distinct from authority but followers deduce that it is to their greater advantage if they would follow their leaders. The leader generates this conclusion by convincing his followers that she has superior information and that the leader is not misleading them. There are two methods of signaling her information, namely, by sacrificing or by setting an example.
