Individual perceptions of the criminal justice system
Article Abstract:
A cost-benefit analysis of criminal behavior is assessed by outlining theories of deterrence and belief updating. Survey results from a demographically varied sample show the impact of perceptions regarding policy intervention, probability of arrest and personal experiences on crime participation.

Workers' education, spillovers, and productivity: evidence from plant-level production functions
Article Abstract:
A study showing that productivity of plants in cities is directly proportionate to college graduates in the city and the labor costs. Within a city, the spillovers from increased productivity are more in the economically related industries than in unrelated industries.
