Article Abstract:
The effects of Russia's unfavorable demographic trends-a shrinking and aging population, low fertility rates and high mortality rates on the education reform agenda is being examined. RussianEs educational system faces the twin challenges of adapting to shrinking class sizes and smaller numbers of traditional students.

Development of rural industrial enterprises
Article Abstract:
A study highlighting the need for developing industrial enterprises in the rural areas of Russia is presented. The study also offers suggestions for such industrial development, based on trends observed from economic reforms in Kabardino-Balkar Republic.
