Article Abstract:
Importance of proper on-the-job information of the worker in order to take decisions at the entrepreneur level is analyzed. Need for non-biased performance evaluation and work incentive settings are presented.

Hierarchical sorting and learning costs: theory and evidence from the law
Article Abstract:
Positive sorting between workers and managers is an important feature of knowledge-based hierarchies. Evidence of positive sorting by cognitive ability is given, whereas sorting by experience is rare.

Performance pay, delegation and multitasking under uncertainty and innovativeness: an empirical investigation
Article Abstract:
While performance pay and environmental uncertainty are almost unrelated, delegation and uncertainty are strongly related. The multi-tasking agency hypothesis is untenable.
