Risk aversion in rent-seeking and rent-augmenting games
Article Abstract:
Risk aversion creates contrasting effects on two types of expenditures in rent-seeking games. Rent-augmenting expenditures, which enhance the likelihood that the rent is obtained, decline in response to risk aversion only when individual expenditures are identified as strategic substitutes. An indeterminate effect is observed when risk aversion is introduced on rent-seeking expenditures, which enhance the degree of the rent that can be awarded to a player.

Alternative time patterns of decisions and dynamic strategic interactions
Article Abstract:
Non-cooperative choice associated with a given time pattern serves as an alternative in lessening the inefficiencies resulting from externalities when subjects are uncooperative. It acts as a non-cooperative mechanism to partially remove disadvantages accompanying the uncooperative attitude of subjects. Formulation of the non-cooperative choice was achieved after taking into consideration spillovers and strategic interactions among agents.
