Risks to selves, risks to others
Article Abstract:
Individuals sometimes impose health risks on others and even on themselves when they engage in activities such as smoking, drinking and sex. Health interventions that minimize risk to selves and others (RSO) and to selves (SELF) have been established to evaluate cost per-life year saved. RSO interventions recorded a lower cost per unit of benefit compared to SELF interventions. This difference exhibits decision-makers minimal consideration of the risk they impose on others.
