Small Is Suddenly More Beautiful
Article Abstract:
The government of South Korea is turning its favor on small companies, a reversal of its policy of pampering large firms. Currently two-thirds of South Korea's manufactured products are made by less than 1,000 companies. Small companies employ half the workforce. The government will subsidize 1,000 small businesses. It will prohibit big businesses from manufacturing certain products. Export regulations may be simplified.
