The unannounced reform of social and labor relations in the 1990s
Article Abstract:
The economic reforms conducted during the first decade of transition in Russia amounted to a vast, quasi-conspiratorial attack on socialist-era achievements in the area of social justice. As Russia's policy makers during this period have lost sight of the need to steer the economy in a socially desirable direction, the country has been reduced to little more than a raw-materials-supplying appendage to global economy.
