Article Abstract:
Unesco Director General Federico Mayor points out a large number of scientific research projects could be assisted by the participation of other scientists from overseas. He suggests it is important for scientists to have a major role in helping to formulate scientific education. He predicts there will be a greater number of partnerships between scientists. Unesco has been working with the International Council for Science to hold a conference where they plan to introduce several new initiatives. The World Conference on Science is due to be held during June 1999, in Budapest, Hungary.
