Alternative approaches to the politics of detracking
Article Abstract:
Two alternative approaches for reformers to move forward with detracking reforms in the face of potential or actual political resistance are discussed. The winning them over approach is effective in a school community willing to engage in school reforms for promoting equity while the taking them on approach is effective in school communities that are resistant to change.
