Lobby groups line up to fight
Article Abstract:
Universities are preparing to press for changes to the UK government's higher education proposals should the government be successful in getting the bill past its second reading. The Coalition of Modern Universities has called for six improvements to be made to the bill, arguing that the current proposals are "perverse and iniquitous" and would involve universities that have the largest amount of poor students actually subsidising those with the least poor students.
