Money-spinning courses for foreigners - you're speaking our language
Article Abstract:
An examination of the growth in popularity of courses that teach English as a second language and how these courses are proving to be a boon to both the coffers and culture of universities in the United Kingdom. It is estimated that teaching English to international students brings more than UKPd1 bil/yr to the UK economy, and once tourism and accommodation are taken into account, this figure may touch UKPd1.5 bil.
