Brave New Classroom
Article Abstract:
In 1966, the New Jersey Department of Education implemented the Technology for Children Program, funded by a Ford Foundation grant. The aim of the project was to help children understand the traditional subjects, while gaining an appreciation of technology. Currently, over 178,000 students and 700 teachers are involved in using technology as a tool for problem solving. These children are being effectively prepared for the challenges of the future technological world.
