Viewing the Basics
Article Abstract:
The use of contemporary films in the classroom is proving to be a means of teaching students to be aware of some valuable social issues. An example is used in the viewing of Franco Zeffirelli's film, Romeo and Juliet. The students were able to relate to the young Shakespearean characters which made the film a valuable lesson in literature.
