Conferred in the spirit of good relations

Article Abstract:

An analysis of the impact of the annual service of thanksgiving for those who have given their body to science on both the families of the donors and those, such as medical students and researchers, who have benefited from the donations. The service serves a twofold purpose, helping the students make an empathic link with the corpses they use as teaching aids and who they once were, as well as providing the families and friends of the donors with the emotional release they would normally have gotten through a funeral.

The artful enforcer who shoots from the hip

Article Abstract:

A profile of Kim Howells, who has replaced Alan Johnson as Higher Education Minister. Howells, who while Minister for Culture called Brit Art "Cold, mechanical, conceptual bullshit", and tried to blame rap music for much of youth crime, is noted as being a versatile man but it is suggested that he has been brought into his current position to act as an enforcer, forcing universities to stick to their side of the Government's reform of university fees.
