UK low in affordability league
Article Abstract:
An education at an university in the United Kingdom is one of the least affordable in the world, according to the "Global Higher Education Report: Affordability and Accessibility in Comparative Perspective" study produced by Alex Usher and Amy Cervenan of the US-based Educational Policy Institute, an independent, non-profit organisation researching educational opportunity. The study took into account not just tuition fees but also the cost of living in the various countries examined. Sweden came out as the most affordable country in which to study, followed by Finland and the Netherlands.
