Dodging Telegraph readers between jobs
Article Abstract:
Confederation of British Industry Chief Executive Adair Turner is due to leave the job, which he has held since 1994, in Dec 1999. He plans to write a book on economics and continue his role as a visiting professor at the London School of Economics. Turner suggests a higher quality of vocational training should be introduced. Although he is very supportive of more government funding for education he suggests the extra money should be invested in primary education. He points out many adults do not have basic skills. KPMG Senior Partner Digby Jones will replace Turner.
