Parenting timetabled
Article Abstract:
Manchester University Social Policy and Social Work Lecturer Dr Peggy Foster has developed a time management scheme for new undergraduates. Students should construct a personal timetable of how they plan to mange all their activities in a week, including sleeping, leisure, eating and work. They should identify some short-term aims and reward themselves if they achieve their aims. New undergraduates often find it hard to adapt to looking after themselves and working without being overseen by parents or tutors. Different study methods, such as skim reading also need to be learnt.

Birth of a beautiful lie
Article Abstract:
It is estimated that there are up to 3,000 births in the UK after women have been inseminated by donor sperm. The parents of these children are advised to tell them the truth, but many fail to tell them. Those who do fail feel it affects their family life and can lead to problems. In the UK the law states that the child should not be told the name of the sperm donor, but when adult they can ask for some information.
