Article Abstract:
The process of compiling official histories of particular periods of government is described, in which official historians carefully combine facts from memories of witnesses and enormous amounts of archives. In such a process, civil servants assembled for a series of witness seminars to recall the 1980s and the Thatcher era, ironically symbolized by a handbag which successfully and instantly represented her term in office.

Article Abstract:
This article focuses on the Nobel prize, and the statistics of winners from various countries, mainly the U.S. and the U.K. Institutions also play a role in the Nobel prize, with Cambridge being the most popular in the U.K., and Harvard Univerdity being one of the most popular in the U.S. With the U.S. and the U.K. receiving a large proportion of the prizes, Japan is edging in with its two wins in chemistry.
