Faith in females; whether feminism and religion can forge a spiritual bond
Article Abstract:
Feminism has had an impact across all aspects of academic thought, but religion and feminism have not been linked. The battle for female ordination in the Church of England is an example where women have been unable to gain power. Christianity and Judaism have acknowledged feminism, and the other main religions are beginning to do so. The UK lags behind the US and Europe in the academic development of feminist theology.
