Hardwired to succeed
Article Abstract:
Robin Dunbar, evolutionary psychologist, discusses evolutionary psychology, the difference between humans and apes and his career history in the light of the publication of his latest book, "The Human Story". Dunbar expresses his belief that the general public does not really have much of an understanding about the complexities of science and because of this can find it difficult to get a grasp of the nature of scientific research. He acknowledges, however, that part of the problem lies with the fact that we have accumulated such a vast range of knowledge in such a wide range of subjects that it is difficult to deal with.

Stars of the screen lose the sparkle of romance
Article Abstract:
An overview of the changing face of the technology used by astronomers to do their research. It is suggested that some of the romance has gone out of the job now that it has become extremely uncommon for an astronomer to actually look through a telescope to see something in the sky, however, it os contended that modern students are just as excited by the subject because they are interested in the science of the discipline.
