Article Abstract:
Robert Plomin, deputy director of the Research Centre on Social, Genetic and Developmental Psychiatry at the Institute of Psychiatry in south London, England, believes that genetic influence accounts for 50% of individual differences in intelligence. Plomin, a professor in behavioural genetics, believes that genes associated with differences in individual intelligence will be identified within the next year or two. However he points out that not only do multiple genes contribute to individual intelligence, but that environmental and other factors are just as important.

Article Abstract:
Scientist and joint discoverer of the Hale-Bopp comet, Alan Hale, has been investigating the problems that scientists have finding work. Hale himself has had a hard time finding work since he obtained his PhD in Astronomy in 1992. Hale has recently placed an open letter on the Internet requesting personal job experiences from other scientists, to which he has now received 1,000 replies.
