Historians quit over cash row
Article Abstract:
Two leading historians have resigned from their posts as subject directors of history at the Higher Education Academy Subject Centre for History, Classics and Archaeology. The substantial under funding of the history department and the allocation of huge sums of money to the center's administration are supposed to be the reasons behind their resignation.

Job cuts fund growth

Wolverhampton University plans to make 53 staff redundant to allow it to redirect money into growing subject areas. The cuts will be in the schools of languages and social sciences, humanities, engineering and the built environment and the business school.
