Last Word: An Education That's Really Special
Article Abstract:
A mother of a Downs Syndrome daughter writes of her experiences in keeping her daughter, Kathryn, out of special education classes, and in classes with normal children. Finally at the age of fifteen, with home schooling, Kathryn had individualized lessons, as well as a melange of special interest classes from ballet to gardening in the community.
