Article Abstract:
The history of law studies shows that it has been regarded primarily as a science, using logic and abstract thought. There is now a movement to re-introduce skills, as law is felt by some observers to have become detached from ordinary life. The study of law as a science, unrelated to its context, has been seen as placing difficulties in its practice in the courts.
